This program is the first of its kind locally, combining academic education with specialized practical training in various fields of cosmetics, including the manufacturing and marketing of cosmetic and skincare products. It aims to prepare skilled professionals capable of leading this rapidly growing sector with expertise and efficiency. Graduates will find broad opportunities to work in both local and regional markets in areas such as product manufacturing and development, brand management, and skincare centers. Additionally, the program equips graduates with the knowledge and skills to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and establish their own businesses in a sector recognized as one of the fastest growing and most in-demand in the region.
The program spans four academic years, totaling 140 credit hours. Students will undertake a comprehensive curriculum covering theoretical and practical courses in basic sciences, medical and pharmaceutical sciences relevant to all aspects of cosmetic science, including product formulation and development. Graduates will also gain the essential knowledge and hands-on training needed to work effectively in other facets of the industry, such as skincare and cleansing, management and communication skills, and the laws and regulations governing the cosmetics sector. Furthermore, graduates will be qualified to assist healthcare professionals in clinical areas related to the field, utilizing advanced devices and technologies for hair transplantation and skin treatment.
The program includes practical training across three key sectors within the industry: cosmetic manufacturing companies and importers (cosmetics department), skincare and dermatology centers, and clinics specializing in skin diseases and disorders.
To contribute to the preparation and qualification of a distinguished group of specialists in cosmetics and skin care sciences, who possess the scientific knowledge and practical skills necessary to actively advance the profession in both its manufacturing and cosmetic aspects, while applying their expertise to serve themselves and their communities alike.

Specific Goals
- Introduce students to the fundamentals of cosmetics, hair care, and skin care.
- Teach students the basics of aesthetic science, color theory and techniques, cosmetic chemistry, biology, and other foundational topics.
- Prepare skilled bachelor’s degree graduates specialized in cosmetics and skin care fields.
- Equip students with extensive skills and experience in managing beauty centers.
- Prepare students to work in cosmetics retail centers by developing management and customer service skills.
- Educate students on occupational safety and health requirements related to the cosmetics profession.
- Introduce students to skin, hair, oral, and dental diseases and their treatments through continuous coordination with specialized medical professionals.
- Prepare students for the local job market through intensive training in cosmetics manufacturing, hair care, and skin care.
Applicants must have completed the Palestinian General Secondary Education Certificate of High School (Tawjihi) in the scientific stream or an equivalent qualification with a minimum overall grade of 80%. Additionally, students wishing to transfer into the program from related fields such as Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, Medicine, Health Sciences, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering may be accepted, subject to the university’s and the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education’s regulations and procedures.
To obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetics and Skin Care, students must successfully complete 140 credit hours over four academic years. During this period, students will study a variety of theoretical and practical courses across relevant scientific and professional disciplines.
