General Introduction
The Central Research Laboratory of Faculty of Medicine is a specialized facility aimed at promoting scientific research and academic education in the field of medicine and health sciences. It serves as a key hub for supporting research across various medical and biological disciplines. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art devices to enhance research in multiple scientific fields, particularly in cell and tissue culture, biology, and molecular genetics.
Vision: The Central Research Laboratory aspires to be a leading research center both nationally and globally in the fields of biological and medical sciences. We aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms and their treatment through innovation in cell culture technologies, genetics, and molecular biochemistry. Our goal is to improve human health by developing advanced therapeutic solutions that support sustainable disease prevention and treatment.

- Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology and the activation of carbon nanotubes, gold nanoparticles, graphene, and other nanomaterials for biomedical applications in cancer and infectious diseases.
- Synthesis of complex molecular compounds and their applications in medicine.
- Organic synthesis of biological molecules, particularly carbohydrate chemistry, for applications in viral and bacterial treatments.
Researcher in the field of Medicinal Chemistry, focusing his studies on:
- Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry, Heterocyclic Synthetic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Medicinal Chemistry, Design and Discovery of Anticancer Agents, Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmacognosy.
A researcher in the field of medicinal chemistry, focusing his studies primarily on the synthesis of new pharmaceutical molecules and the development of analytical methods for their characterization. During his research in chemical manufacturing, he gained extensive experience in the use of instruments such as microwave and flash chromatography. He has substantial expertise working with various analytical devices, including (NMR, HPLC, LCMS, and others).

- Pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, ethnopharmacology of natural medicines, isolation of natural medicines from medicinal plants, and the chemical and biological properties of natural essential oils.
A researcher in microbiology and immunology, focusing his studies on:
- The spread of sexually transmitted diseases among the Palestinian population, microorganisms associated with acne, the prevalence of trichinosis among schoolchildren, the prevalence of intestinal worms among preschool-aged Palestinian children, the distribution of intestinal parasites among wild rodents, and sewage parasites in the Jenin Valley region.
- Antibacterial activity of Chlorophytum comosum extracts, a natural solution for bacterial pathogens and indoor air pollution.
- Investigating the biophysical properties of each AMPA receptor subunit using 3 (benzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)-N-(4-chloro-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-Methylpropane amide compounds in mice at different ages.
