On Thursday, February 26, 2026, the Pharmaceutical Students' Federation visited the American School, where an awareness lecture about influenza was delivered as part of its ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and preventive culture among different community groups.
The lecture included a simplified explanation of influenza, its common symptoms, and modes of transmission, in addition to highlighting effective prevention methods such as regular hand washing, using sanitizers, covering the mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing, and following healthy habits to reduce the spread of infection within schools and the community.
During the visit, the team emphasized the importance of health education at an early age and raising students’ awareness about protecting themselves and others, contributing to building a more health-conscious generation.
The session also included an interactive segment featuring various questions and educational games designed to deliver information in an engaging and enjoyable way, along with small giveaways distributed to students to encourage participation and interaction.
This visit reflected the spirit of social responsibility and volunteer work among Health Students Union members and highlighted the importance of collaboration with educational institutions in spreading health awareness and promoting preventive practices.
