The Faculty of Pharmacy participated by showcasing a range of products developed by its students, including products from the Cosmetics and Skin Care Program. In addition, three student projects from the Faculty, supervised by Dr. Hiba Al-Natsheh, qualified to participate in the exhibition. These projects were among 58 products selected from different disciplines across the University for participation in TEDI-Najah Expo 2026.

Dr. Faten Amer from the Faculty of Pharmacy also served as a member of the Expo Project Selection Committee, which was responsible for evaluating submitted projects and products from different University disciplines and selecting those that qualified for participation in the exhibition.

The three selected projects from the Faculty of Pharmacy were:

1. Novel Natural-Based Formulations for Treatment of Skin Hyperpigmentation
2. Green Synthesis of Naturally Based Nanoparticles of Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate
3. Formulation of a Natural Sunscreen Enriched with Plant-Based Oils for Dry and Normal Skin

The participating Faculty of Pharmacy students included: Suwar Anwar Mahmoud Mawafteh, Jumana Jawad Mohammad Obeisa, Malak Haitham Oqab Qibha, Lara Majed Ibrahim Makhamreh, Doaa Irshaidat, Saba Saadeh, Yara Dhafer, Asmaa Saleh, Sara Ahmad, Sundus Dabbous, Tuqa Qara'a, Yara Yousef, and Thanaa Yousef.

Dr. Faten Amer emphasized the importance of student participation in such activities, noting that applied exhibitions represent an important extension of the educational process by giving students the opportunity to transform theoretical knowledge and laboratory work into ideas and products that can be presented, evaluated, and further developed.

She added: “At the Faculty of Pharmacy, we aim to enable students to transform the knowledge they acquire into applications, products, and ideas with development potential. Participation in TEDI-Najah Expo provides students with an opportunity to present their work and discuss it with specialists and visitors from different fields. It also contributes to developing teamwork, communication, and innovation skills, while helping students understand the stages through which an idea progresses from the laboratory to a product.”

Dr. Faten Amer also noted that her participation in the Project Selection Committee provided an opportunity to review a wide range of student projects from different University disciplines. She highlighted the advanced level of applied and innovative ideas developed by students and stressed the importance of providing University platforms that support the development of these ideas and connect them with the actual needs of society and the market.

The Faculty of Pharmacy’s participation reflected the diversity of applied fields in which its students are engaged, particularly in the development of pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations, the use of natural ingredients and nanotechnology, and the development of products that respond to consumer and community needs.

This participation comes as part of the Faculty of Pharmacy’s efforts at An-Najah National University to strengthen applied education, support student innovation, connect academic projects with practical applications, and encourage students to transform their ideas into products and projects with potential for further development.
